Bodegones del Sur Vineyard Select Tannat

Bodegones del Sur is produced by Juanico, one of Uruguay’s leading family-owned wineries and its most technically advanced, thanks to its investment in the latest technology. They have a total planted area of 240 hectares and use a cultivation system that respects the environment by using the principles of organic farming, avoiding the use of chemicals, to ensure a natural balance in the ecosystem and reduce human intervention.

This powerful red from the Tannat grape is has been fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the ripe fruit flavours. Vibrant coloured black centre fading to a deep purple rim. Rich nose of Christmas fruit cake, dried fruits, brown baking spices, cinnamon and glace cherries. Firm and full bodied with well-structured tannins but balanced by a bright acidity. Pair with grilled steak or a hearty stew.
