Massaya is based in Lebanon’s Bekka Valley with vineyards at some 1000m in altitude. The estate is a French-Lebanese joint venture between the Ghosn, Brunier and Hebrard families and takes a modern approach to its wine production with powerful fruit flavours and a subtle spicy Mediterranean character.

‘Terrasses de Baalbeck’ is the new name for the Silver Selection. It is rich yet savoury with a Rhône-style blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre from the foothills of Mount Lebanon. Fresh and intense, with good structure and bold red and black berry fruit flavours balanced by complex notes of asian spice and wild herbs. Finishes very long in the mouth. The power and structure makes this a wine with excellent ageing potential, though approachable now.
