This is an impressive, well-priced Chablis. Pure, characterful nose of white flowers and flint, that is typical of good Chablis. Good intensity on the palate with an elengant combination of white peach, minerals, a hint of almond and lovely vivacity.

Château La Croix Cantenac has been in the Richard family for several generations. Today the husband-and-wife team are passionate about doing what they do: making gorgeous wine.
The wine is generally 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignonb. The dominance of the Merlot is apparent on the nose with black fruits and notes of cherry and spice. In the mouth, the wine is smooth and elegant, with good complexity and structure from the Cabernet Sauvignon. The finish is long and fine.
-
A clever blend of Sangiovese 85% ; Syrah 5% ; Merlot 5% ; Cabernet Sauvignon 5% from the Chioccioli Altadonna family estate in Tuscany. This impressive red is aged 14 months in barrel and is intensely flavoured with fruity, floral and spicy notes. It is balanced with fine tannins and fresh acidity that gives lift to the fruit and spice characters.
It goes very well with meat dishes such as lamb, roasts, wild duck, venison and pizza with meat. As for the cheeses: Chianti Classico fits well with fresh young cheeses or semi-mature cheese and Italian Taleggio.
-
An elegant, dry and aromatic wine, with distinctive hints of elderflower and nettle on the nose, a crisp herbaceous palate and a subtle vanilla finish from the gentle oak ageing, giving a long, but delicate finish.
