This dry white is from the Pinot Gris grape, though in Germany it is known as Grauburgunder.
Millions of years ago the prehistoric ocean covered the Rhinehessen-region. When the ocean dried up it left fertile and mineral soil. During the last ice age, this soil was covered up by nutritious drifting sands called loess. Thus, the ideal ground with excellent water retention properties to grow grape vines was created. This wine captivates through lush fruity aromas paired with a fresh crispness.
