La Marquise Beaubigney is a new range to us. The wines are produced by LGI in the south of France near the lovely walled city of Carcassonne. The wines reflect the warmth of the climate and the beauty of the surroundings with plenty of ripe fruit and balanced flavours. And they are particularly good value.
This Sauvignon Blanc has all the freshness and intensity you would want for a wine at this price. Whilst the climate here is warm, if you go to the hills you get cool nights to balance the hot days, giving a wine with balance and flavour. Lively aromas of passion fruit and lemon with a hint of grapefruit. Refreshing, dry palate with citrus fruit flavours balanced by tropical hints and a touch of currant leaf.
