McPherson Wines is an independent, family owned winery based in Victoria. Established in 1968, they have quietly built an enviable reputation such that they can now describe themselves as ‘Australia’s least well known top twenty winery, happily enjoying our under the radar reputation as a quality, efficient and innovative winemaker for those in the know.’
Well we would like to introduce you to their wines and this delicious sparkler is the perfect start. It is a blend of 88% Chardonnay and 12% Pinot Noir from three separate vineyard plots. The attractive style is quite fruity and forward with apple and pear fruit flavours balanced by fresh citrus notes. There is a gentle creamy note together with some complex yeasty character that adds interest and enjoyment.
This is a versatile, tasty sparkling wine to enjoy as an aperitif or celebratory drink.
